1861 Samuel Goodale of Cincinnati, OH patented the moving picture peep show machine.

1862 Edison prints first newspaper on a train for passengers.

1893 ‘Fred Ott’s Sneeze’ first film made at Edison’s new studio.

1893 Emile Berliner begins marketing disc gramophones in the US.

1898 Film made of cricket match between NSW and England at Sydney, NSW won.

1901 Queen Victoria’s funeral recorded on film.

1906 World’s first surf lifesaving club formed at Bondi, Sydney, Australia.

1913 Louis Perlman, New York, patents ‘demountable tire-carrying rims’. We call them wheels.

1928 TV pics sent across Atlantic by ham 2KZ London on 40m band to NY.
